Linux is better than Windows.

Do I need to write an entire essay on this?

Linux is superior in Windows in every way. Sure, some programs can only be run with Windows, but there are many Linux tools that can help with that. It is with no doubt that Linux can do a lot of things that Windows can do.

Well, why is Windows bad?

To start off, they have a ton of bloatware features. Windows constantly shoves unnecessary features in your face like AI, and that decreases the functionality of your computer overall.

Windows also has a heck ton of telemetry and tracking. Your computer is used against you to keep tracking you constantly in the background. There are block lists that can be used to block them, but why should it be the user's job to prevent Windows from tracking them? Shouldn't Windows just not track people at all?

Ok... but where do I start?

Linux has many different distros for many purposes. Some are made for more technical people, and some are made for people who like simplicity.

If you want to get started with Linux, but you don't know how to use things like APT, then go with Linux Mint. If you are more of a nerd, and you already have a fair knowledge of using Linux, then there are other distros that might fit your specific uses, like Arch Linux.

Conclusion

If you are feeling ready to break the chains of using Windows, make the switch to Linux. I promise you, it's way much better off using Linux. Although Windows might have a lot of features Linux doesn't have and programs that only support Windows, there are some great substitutes for those that you can check out.
